A couple of years ago, I picked up a few Dollar Tree Essentials Clear Plastic 3-Compartment Storage Trays with Lids to help tame my chaotic bathroom drawers. I had no idea at the time how useful they'd be.
Since then, I've bought more of these trays to organize other messy spaces in my house. They're functional, cute, and for $1.50 apiece, the price is just right. If you're battling messy drawers, consider this my friendly PSA.
Dollar Tree Essentials 3-Compartment Storage Tray with Lids
- Price: $1.50 for one tray with lid
- Why I Love It: These divided containers are great for holding odds and ends in the kitchen and elsewhere in my home. I especially love that they come with lids that make them easy to stack and organize.

Why I Love Dollar Tree's Storage Trays With Lids
In my kitchen, these trays are home to small and loose essential items like rubber bands, twist ties, and wine stoppers. I've even designated one section as a "lost and found" zone for small items that appear out of nowhere, but we don't yet know where they belong—random nuts and bolts, small plastic pieces that fell off something we haven't identified, and much, much more.
One of my favorite things about the trays is that they come with lids, which keep everything clean and protected, preventing the accumulation of dust and debris. The lids also make them stackable, helping me maximize space and store things that I use occasionally but don't require premium space for, such as corn on the cob holders and bag clips.
The three separate compartments mean everything stays sorted, and because the trays are clear, I can easily see what's where without having to dig around.
How I Use Dollar Tree's Storage Trays With Lids
In my spice drawer, I keep my spices organized alphabetically in glass jars with bamboo lids. However, I use one of these trays to store related items, such as leftover seasoning packets, condiment packets, and smaller travel-size containers of sauces and spices that my husband and daughter pack in their lunches.
I also use one in another area of my kitchen for electrolyte drink packets and water enhancers. Similarly, they would be great for tea bags, protein bars, or other single-serve snacks.
Beyond the kitchen (and bathroom), they work just as well in craft rooms, offices, bedrooms, nightstand drawers, or anywhere else you need to wrangle small items into submission.
If you're tired of playing hide-and-seek with your small essentials every morning, these might be the simple solution you need.
