I’ve always been a huge fan of pizza. It’s a childhood obsession that just never went away. And honestly, why would it? Pizza is the ultimate comfort food: reliable, satisfying, and great for any occasion—whether it’s breakfast, a midnight snack, or the centerpiece of a full-blown dinner spread.
When I’m not ordering out or trying my hand at homemade pizza, there’s one brand I turn to for instant gratification: Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen. This familiar Aldi favorite is known for its frozen pies, fresh take-and-bake options, and wide range of styles—of which, there’s almost always a new flavor worth obsessing over.
This week's new obsession? Mama Cozzi’s Rising Crust Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza, a modern take on an undeniable classic and quite possibly my favorite frozen pizza to date.
Aldi Mama Cozzi’s Rising Crust Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza
- Price: $4.95 for a 26.26-ounce pizza
- Why I Love It: The crust is soft, doughy, and fluffy and stands up nicely to the toppings. I love the contrast of the hot honey tomato sauce with melty mozzarella cheese and salty pepperoni.

Why I Love Aldi’s Mama Cozzi’s Rising Crust Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza
In addition to the attractive $4.95 price tag, this 26.26-ounce pie boasts a 16-inch diameter—more than enough for one and perfect for sharing. It’s topped with a hot honey tomato sauce, followed by low-moisture mozzarella cheese, and finished with a generous serving of pepperoni made with pork, chicken, and beef.
The crust is soft, doughy, and fluffy, but not so much that it feels like you’re just eating bread. Tiny air pockets throughout each slice suggest the dough was properly proofed and handled with care, giving it that light, pillowy texture we all love. It’s also perfect for dipping, as the fluffy nooks and crannies soak up the marinara sauce beautifully.
Speaking of beauty, each bite has a satisfying hint of sweet honey paired with the classic pepperoni flavors you’d expect. And while this isn’t your typical thin, New York-style slice, I’d compare it to DiGiorno—but better. Think hand-tossed for that perfect middle ground between deep dish and thin crust.
If you want a twist on traditional pepperoni, Mama Cozzi’s new Rising Crust Philly Cheesesteak Pizza might also be worth a try. It’s topped with cheddar cheese sauce, mozzarella, provolone, beef, roasted green peppers, and caramelized onions. While this new freezer addition did satisfy my late-night cravings, the soggy veggies were a stark reminder that it's still a frozen pie.
How To Enjoy Mama Cozzi’s Rising Crust Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza
In my opinion, there’s no better way to eat this pie than straight out of the oven, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and dipped in a cup of marinara sauce. Include some fresh pepperoncini peppers on the side and an ice-cold Coca-Cola, and you’ve got a solid Friday night on your hands.
Five dollars and a quick 20 to 23 minutes in an oven preheated to 400°F is all you need to make pizza night a reality. Snag it while you still can and kiss other frozen brands goodbye.
