M&M’s Just Released Its Best New Candy in Years

It's now part of the permanent M&M's lineup.

M&M's have been a staple of the American candy landscape for more than 75 years. There is no mistaking this iconic chocolate treat with its colorful candy shell. I'm something of an M&M's expert because I sample brand-new flavors as soon as they drop, so I know the candy well.

Or, I thought I knew M&M's until I tried the latest candy in the permanent lineup. It reminds me of the cult-favorite Nerds Gummy Clusters: another unique, iconic candy turned into something that both elevates and reinvents the flavor profile.

• Why I Love It: Each bite starts with chocolatey M&M’s flavor and a crispy, airy center, then becomes a chewy caramel. I've never had M&M's like this before (and that's saying something).

What Are the Brand-New M&M’s?

M&M's Pop’d Caramel has the iconic chocolate shell, but the center is a crunchy freeze-dried caramel filling. This candy feels like what would happen if you left a bag of M&M's in your car on a hot summer day, and instead of melting, they exploded into a brand-new candy.

While the original M&M's are all pretty uniform, the Pop'd version has different shapes. It reminds me of popcorn, where some of the kernels really pop open and others, not so much.

The flavor is remarkable. It definitely tastes like M&M's chocolate, but in a way I've never had before. Because they’re caramel, you end up getting a lot of interplay between the flavors and textures. The first bite is classic M&M’s, then you chew a few times, and it’s crispy and airy, and then it turns into a chewy caramel that makes you forget that you actually started out eating an M&M.

I kept eating candy out of the bag and shaking my head in disbelief at what had been accomplished. The 5.5-ounce package is resealable, but in my experience, that is not a function that you will ever need to use.

Where to Find M&M’s Pop’d Caramel

If you want to be one of the first to nab this candy, it'll be available exclusively on TikTok Shop starting November 3. Then, starting November 10, you'll be able to order them on the M&M's website and in M&M's stores. Look for them to hit regular stores everywhere by early 2026.

The best part? M&M’s Pop’d is not limited edition—it's a permanent part of the M&M's lineup! I'm hoping that means we'll get more flavors, because I need a crispy peanut butter version.
