Aldi, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I can’t think of another grocery store that makes me want to paraphrase Shakespeare, so I’d say that’s a good start. I’ve been an Aldi devotee for as long as I can remember. Once you realize that this store is full of hidden gems, it’s hard to shop elsewhere.
Don’t get me wrong—I enjoy other stores, but somehow it always feels less fun than navigating the aisles at Aldi. Honestly, I feel like I always have a spring in my step right when I push my cart through the front door. This might also have something to do with inserting a quarter to get my cart, because it feels like a little game.
I love the fact that Aldi offers so many unique (and legitimately good) store brands that you can’t find anywhere else. Which is why I’m pleased to announce that Aldi is taking credit where credit is due!
The store is now stamping its name on every Aldi store brand product.

What This Change Means
Several brands will disappear and be replaced with the Aldi name, while more iconic brands like Clancy’s, Simply Nature, and Specially Selected will have a special “an Aldi original” stamp on the packaging.
Most of the house brands that are disappearing are less well-known, though Baker's Corner is a notable exception. This makes sense to me, because most frequent shoppers already call most of these things "Aldi brand" anyway. The disappearing house brands include:
- Baker's Corner
- Belmont
- Dakota’s Pride
- Earthly Grains
- Little Journey
- Lunch Buddies
- Sweet Harvest
Plenty of in-house brands will keep their names, but on the packaging, you’ll see some new lettering: “an Aldi original.” We know the following brands are here to stay:
- Barissimo
- Clancy's
- Happy Farms
- Happy Harvest
- Kirkwood
- Little Journey
- Park St. Deli
- Simply Nature
- Specially Selected
- Sunday Shoppe
- Tuscan Garden
This means your Happy Farms cheese will still have its usual house brand name! You might already see products with new labels at your local Aldi. 90% of products at every Aldi are store-brand, so the label changes will continue over the next few years. (It's going to take a while for every product to get a little makeover.)
I intend on treating it like a fun scavenger hunt as I stock up on pantry staples. I’m excited to scan the shelves to find all the new labels.
To sum up, all your favorite products remain unchanged, but their labels will be different. I’m already waiting for some superfan to get a tattoo that says “an Aldi original.” Perhaps that superfan will be me; who knows?
